Change has come to America-Obama

7 NOVEMBER O8

GANDHI has said in Y M C A i johannaburg that It is dificult to think about Africa without African communities. They are not only strong and intelleligent, they are boon to the British Empire...All the races when mix up will come up with such an extraordinary culture that world can dream of. Obama, I think represents that culture.
Obama was born on August 4 1961, just after two months when Martin Luther KingJr.delivered his famous speech on August 28 1963, in which he said "I have a dream that one day...little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and little white girls as sisters and brothers." We in India also dream that day is not far behind when Dalit and non Dalit may live under one shed as members of one and the same family. Gandhi has also dreamt of that a day will come when a Dalit moman will preside over India's presidency, which has come half way true. The time is not far away when Dalit woman may lead the destiny of our country. American nation has gone against its history and risen above its worst prejudices in electing Obama as the President.Obama's run away victory in the presidential election begins a new political era in the United States. A new genretion of enthusiastic voters thirsting for socio political change powered the Democratic candidate to his famous victory. There is a caution for Obama, he has won the election on the back ofthe economic disaster, in case he is not able to rule the tide, Obama would mean a falling off a much higher cliff. The Impact of obama's win on the sentiments and aspiration of millions of minorities in the world. In India as well the election of Manmohan Singh to the Pm's postion was also a great boost for minority of India. Obama's victory must give encouragement to all the minorities of the world.
Obama's victory has opened a new chater not only to developed nations but it is a boost to the troubled, hungry and suffering magnitued of the world. Let us wish him a great success and extend help for bringing peace and love to each one and every one in the world.
